I double checked... no one rebooted it.
Since all of my servers run Linux, I'm pretty anal about everyone other than
Dave & myself leaving them alone.
It was evidently a lockup. Dave just got back to the office, and he had to
power off to get it back. He couldn't even get command line from the
keyboard.

Subject: [clue-adm] ta8 dropped?
Greetings.
I am not sure what happened this morning to ta8 at about 7:15 am. But,
I was ONE KEYSTROKE away from writing my changes to linuxconf (for
mysql) and the box dropped.
If the server died unexpectedly, then no problem, I understand.
BUT - if someone actually rebooted the server, then THEY MUST execute a
'who' to see if anyone else is logged in a working on the box. If
someone is working, then please send a broadcast message / warning that
the box will reboot in X minutes.
Roy, can you make sure that your staff understands this 'who' check for
ta8?
Thanks
Jeff
