We have giant mbox files for each list.  You can always hand-edit them to fix 
the problem and then archive the list again, which generates the HTML files.

I think that some of the dates were not parsed properly when I ran the 
archiver on the new server (against our existing mbox files).

It's pretty simple - the one thing that you should do is turn off email when 
you are working with an mbox file, so you don't inadvertently lose someone's 
post when you save the file (i.e., they posted while you have the file in 
your editor, you save it and over-write the mbox w/o the new message(s).
