[clue-admin] pinging the CLUE Server

Just a quick note, some folks on the Admin side of CLUE already know
this.  The CLUE server is behind a firewall that does not return ping
packets (i.e., just does a "DROP").  Though the packets are dropped, the
firewall IDS logs are recording this (along with those from China and
Korea trying to knock on the door as well...).

For those who are trying to check connectivity and have login access to
the CLUE server, please use the means we have talked about via ssh.  If
you cannot access the CLUE server via SSH, email me directly off list
(since I get the CLUE-Admin list in digest format).
