A couple of suggestions were given to me last week for talks. Since I was out of town and then sick with the flu, I haven't posted anything about it until now. The first is not Linux specific, but something some of us like to do. Building computers. How to do it, what to consider, etc.

The second is building a distro. Well, not actually building a distro. That would probably be boring to most of the group. But what goes into building a distro. Package managers. KDE, GNOME, or something else. LSB and the FHS. Networking: NetworkManager, etc. The GNU build tool chain.

Some of this might fit in well with Dave's cert group. It would also cover some of the items on the list of suggested talks.

Any comments or suggestions on this before I try to organize it to present to the group? Would it be interesting enough?
