Please do not confuse LPI Certification with "training". LPI
specifically isolated itself from training in order to allow people to
spend their money in whatever methods of training they wished to use in
obtaining the knowledge necessary to be a good Linux Systems
Administrator, whether that training method be lecture-lab, textbook,
CD-ROM, or just the "school of hard knocks". Once you have the
knowledge, you take the qualifying tests.

The "objectives" of each LPI level are to act both as a guide to the
information that you need to be at that level, and as an indicator to
the areas that LPI will be testing you on. Therefore course developers
can generate information on those areas, and students can make sure that
they have knowledge of those areas before they take the exams.

So it should not be a question of whether you "spend your money on other
training"....instead, you should ask yourself if LPI is a good
certification for the area that you wish to enter. If that area is
specifically Linux Systems Administration, I think that LPI is one of
the best "price/performance" certifications around.
