I have also used Ruby/Tk on my Windows computer at work occasionally. If you want to do this, you will need to get the Windows version of Ruby an Tcl/Tk. The One-Step Installer For Windows recommends ActiveTcl. http://www.activestate.com/Products/ActiveTcl/ I haven't tried wxWindows, FOX or the other alternatives to do Ruby GUI apps on Windows.
