Dear Colorado Linux enthusiasts,

We are seeking a bioinformatician to play a key role in the management
and analysis of large data sets of DNA sequence. The successful
applicant will apply bioinformatics, database, and programming skills
to assist scientists in processing DNA sequence data, automating
repetitive bioinformatics tasks, integrating and mining diverse
biological datasets, developing custom data analysis tools and
workflows, and implementing available informatics tools for wider
usage by investigators. The individual will support multiple research
projects of multiple investigators by delivering bioinformatics
services for data obtained from cutting-edge genomic technologies.

Minimum requirements are a BS degree in computational sciences with a
solid biology background or a BS degree in biology with a sold
computational background.

Desired skills include:

* Preternatural facility with scripting languages & shell programming
(Python & bash preferred)
* Familiarity with database use & management (MySQL mainly)
* Previous experience with cloud computing platform implementations
(e.g. Amazon EC2)
