Greetings:

Linux ETC is looking for a Senior Level Web and Database Contractor to do some part time (10-15 hours a week for a few months engagement) in Broomfield, CO on site with some remote work possible during normal business hours of 9AM to 5PM Mountain Time.

DESCRIPTION:
Candidates for this position must have extensive experience with server-side Java technology including experience with the Spring framework.  Database expertise is also a requirement; this is not a DBA position, but the ideal candidate will have a detailed and thorough understanding of database design, optimization and persistence frameworks for enterprise Java and experience working on extremely scalable and reliability-critical projects.
The ideal candidate will also have:
•	Experience with Java-based Social media APIs (including Facebook and Twitter) and RESTful interfaces
•	A thorough grounding in Social Media and a desire to make interesting and cool things happen in that space through interactive television
•	US Cable standards for interactive television including ETV and OCAP

RESPONSIBILITES:
The Senior Web and Database Contractor will be responsible for implementing modules of a web-based backend for enhanced television content.  

REQUIREMENTS:
•	5+ years Java Development
•	Extensive experience with web frameworks including Spring
•	Demonstrated experience in persistence frameworks/Database design & optimization
•	Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface well and give guidance to other members of the team

•	BS in CS or equivalent experience.
