Hello all,

Rally Software is looking for two System administrators, one to join our
Operations team and another to join our Development team. Please see the
job descriptions below.

*Job Title: Development Infrastructure Engineer*

Rally Software is seeking a motivated operations engineer with a
passion for accelerating engineering teams. In this role, you'll manage
the build and test infrastructure that supports our development group. With
multiple agile development teams bringing work together for weekly releases
to our on-demand service, we demand a lot of our build and test systems, and
we are seeking a full-time person devoted to making sure they scale.

What you will be doing:

· Speeding up our development process by keeping our build and test
systems running at peak performance.

· Specifying, implementing and maintaining state of the art hardware
and software.

· Supporting developer and tester workstations (although most of our
engineers take care of themselves).

· Removing obstacles that slow down our development process.

· Coming up with ways that our build and test process can provide
faster feedback for the development teams.

What you will *not* be doing:

· Carrying a pager. We work at a sustainable pace, so this job happens
during normal working hours.

· Dealing with novice end-users. Your customers are a group of highly
technical engineers who appreciate your work.

Your skills should include:

· 3+ years of Linux/UNIX operations experience.

· Prior SaaS or Web application experience strongly preferred.

· Operations experience with a 3-tiered architecture on RedHat or
Centos, Jetty/Tomcat and Oracle (10g or 11g) or similar architectures.

· Detailed and methodical nature when executing product system
installations, migrations, maintenance and upgrades.

· Ability to document changes and procedures for all systems.

· Deep technical problem solving skills.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Strong Unix/Linux scripting skills.

· Demonstrated ability to remain calm under pressure.

· A strong customer service focus with a passion for continuous
improvement.

Experience with the following is preferred:

· VMware

· Nagios or similar

· Cacti or similar

· Puppet or similar

Here are some of the reasons people choose to work at Rally:

1. Influence - You are encouraged and empowered to make things
better. The team owns all architectural and framework choices, so if
something is not working, you really can change! Don't just put up with it,
fix it, and you will have the support from your team and management to do
so.

2. Collaboration - Our teams work closely together in a Scrum style,
enabling us to learn from every-one's experience rather than getting trapped
in silos.

3. Pace - Sustainable.

4. Beer - We have a kegerator.

5. Boulder, Colorado - There are worse places to live. 300+ days of
sun, mountains, skiing, biking...

6. Awards - We were named the Best Company to Work For in Colorado
for the last four years, and ranked a top ten Best Places to Work in the
U.S. from Outside Magazine. Our product has won numerous awards and was
recently recognized by industry analyst Forester Research as "offering the
best combination of capability and strategy of Agile ALM tools".
