John, I noticed that Netscape 6 is also much slower than Netscape 4.x. Some folks suggested that the Mozilla nightly builds are faster. I downloaded one a few days ago and found that it is still slower than Netscape 4, but this version seemed faster than Netscape 6. Jeff
