[CLUE-Talk] dial-up ISP

I need help choosing a dial-up ISP for a computer-novice friend in another
state.  I need to get the software configured and the service set up in
Colorado first.  Then I will ship the computer to my friend to use in the
other state.  Most of the ISP's seem to offer the same plan: $20/month for
unlimited v.90 access.  Even after eliminating AOL, MS, and anybody else
that requires you to use their own software, there are still at least 4
providers that are available in Colorado and the other state.

I'm having trouble finding additional information (e.g. user-to-modem ratio)
that would distinguish the remaining providers from each other.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
