Last month SysAdmin published an on-line article, "Which OS
is Fastest for High-Performance Network Applications"

in which Linux kicked ass.  

They've added a FreeBSD follow up this month because of reader 
feedback <http://samag.com/articles/2001/0108/0108q/0108q.htm>.
Linux still kick ass, but FreeBSD doesn't suck as bad.  ;-)
