do NOT get sprintpcs.  I've been locked in to a contract for 8 months
now, they readily admit that they've oversold the market, and yet the
continue with thier ad campaign, I constantly get dropped and I don't
get a signal at all inside most buildings (where my wifes cell works
fine).   I've called in to customer service three times now, hold times
were 42 51 and today, 67 minutes.  Today I actually had a customer
service rep say "bye bye" in a very sarcastic tone before she
transfered me when I told her I didn't want to be transfered.  To see

on planetfeedback.com (very cool site by the way)  sprintpcs is rated
among the lowest (AT&T is best, and for what it's worth, my wife has
had good quality, if not good customer service, with qwest)

Back on the subject of PDA's, there was  a palm III compatable PDA
running linux, for less than $100 mentioned on slashdot recently, I
can't seem to find the link at the moment however.
