Accoring to a MS exec, using Windows could turn into

"a confusing and frustrating experience under antitrust
sanctions sought against Microsoft Corp. by nine states"

Okay - you mean it could get WORSE?

The guy in charge of development for Windows said:

"Consumers would be confused and frustrated if products
marketed as Windows operating systems were incapable of
running Windows applications because blocks of software
code relied on by those applications had been removed,"

Doesn't this already happen when people "upgrade" from
Windows 95 to ME or ME to XP? I seem to recall great
pain and gnashing of teeth when people went from 3.1
to 95... maybe Microsoft should just be forbidden to
release any new versions of Windows. Sounds like a
real solution to me...

Take care,

Zonker
