This is exactly the correct analogy.  And it is nothing to laugh at.  If
Microsoft and other software scoundrels begin to really enforce this
type of nonsense, and it suceeds, you will be soon signing something like
this when you buy a car!  This is a horrible affront to a customer's
rights.  We need to reign these companies in.
