I was reading this article on The Denver Post Online:

It is about the recent banning of Russian Olive trees in Colorado, as
they are considered a noxious weed·

Toward the bottom, a paragraph begins:

"Eric Lane, state weed coordinator,..."

That gave me a laugh!  We have a State Weed Coordinator!

Brings to my mind images of the suburbs on the weekend, an elderly
woman stooped over picking dandelions.  Two men in black suits, black
shades come up to the woman: 'Step back, ma'am, we're professionals..."
