Roger,

The one thing which I would comment on is: where are your heading with
this?  I.e. is 3D gaming, simulations such as modeling, low level
programming to draw XWindows stuff, or architecture stuff what you are
looking for? Whilee the sky's the limit, you've got a limit, time, in
which to teach the stuff so begin with the end in mind.  $0.02
