According to an article in today's Rocky Mountain News, over 300,000
will soon be signed up for this service.
However, it does not (apparently by law, if the article can be believed)
prohibit charities, political organizations, or businesses with whom you
have an "established business relationship" from calling. So even if you
sign up, you will still get calls from your telephone company or your
newspaper and possibly the local "Microsoft needs money" PAC, if they
consider themselves a political organization, as well as the
beg-for-money drives by the TV stations, as a charity.
