Absolutely.  Don't even ~think~ about running other distributions.  No,
not even as an adjunct to Red Hat.  Red Hat is the only distribution you
need.  It's the only distribution ~anyone~ needs!

Seriously, Red Hat is a great distribution, but asking someone else to
pick your first distro is like asking them to pick whether boxers or
briefs are right for you.  Try them on!  Try on two or three, then
settle on one you like, or don't.

Additional note: If you plan to ~support~ Linux, as well as running
Linux, it will be important to you to understand what system components
are common across most installed Linux systems.  One simple way to
accomplish that goal is to run a different distro on each of your
machines.
