Not simplest.  Minimal complexity is the goal.  The simplest solution usually 
doesn't handle errors, etc.  And it is amazing how much complexity is added by 
making a program easy to use.  And trying to idiot-proof something is an 
exponential increase.

And don't confuse complex with complicated.
