How hypocritical.
Before the election, I was trying to get Owen's staff to use money that was
going to MS desktop's on developing in-state Linux based Businesses. I
actually did get called by 2 of Owen's ppl. One from Tech and one from
Finance.
The tech guy said that they were not allowed to replace the MS boxes with
Linux. Any of them. However, they might replace the Unix Boxes with Linux. Of
course, that would not really save money unless it was a planned upgrade.

The finance guy was more interesting . His comment :
"You do not bit the hand that feeds you"
when discussing stopping the MS dekstops.
That infurated me as I think about all the employment that Sun, HP, and IBM do
here vs. MS's (certainly less than 1000 and I think closer to less than 100).

Owens' staff was willing to boot out the companies who actually pay taxes here
and offer employment.
