Athlons are notorious for freezing when they start to overheat (we use a
lot of AMD hardware, so, we've seen this quite a bit).
Consider removing the CPU Fan and Heat Sync and re-doing the thermal
grease. Also, if the CPU fan has slowed over time, this can cause problems.
Or, we do this kind of repair work - feel free to give us a call if you
prefer.
