[CLUE-Talk] Web spider, repeat customer

Hello,
In my Web logs over the past year (years?) I've noticed that
on average 25 times a week 66.45.102.144 (host144.inflow.hire.com)
hits my resume.

I don't believe I've ever posted a link to my resume on a site
related to hire.com (assuming they're in that business). A search on
google produces miscellaneous Web logs showing that the same IP/server
is hitting Web servers all over the internet.

I tweaked my resume so that whenever that IP browses it, a big banner
is added asking the recipient to tell me who the are. No takers.
Perhaps it is just doing automated indexing?

I've considered blocking the IP, but at the same time I don't want to
block potential employers. Anybody have any insight as to what's
underlying this?

Sample entry--The user agent is always identical:
66.45.102.144 - - [29/Jun/2003:03:14:27 -0600] "GET /~tgibson/resume/
HTTP/1.0" 200 19565 "-" "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US;
rv:1.0.1) Gecko/20021003"

Thanks,
-TAG
