[CLUE-Talk] LCD hacking for dummies

I have a pair of 13.3" lcd pannels from old laptops (one an nec ready 330t,
the other a compaq armada 7400) and am in the process of gathering
information to see what all is involved in making them into a single large
flat pannel for my desktop.

i've read a few sites already and apparently i have to buy some hardware to
convert from vga to the digital signals used in the fpd, and for the power
involved, but i wouldn't know where to try to get those, all i see are lists
of major suppliers, no retail vendors.

has anyone attempted this or knows someone that has? i think it'd be a great
hack, maybe even slashdotable.
