Ah, terminology. Well, if you've worked a bit with crude electronics, you
know what a lamp holder is. So why do we have "light fixtures"?
Reminds me of when I was working for a plumber. He explained to me the
proper usage of the terms, "fitting" and "fixture". Too bad I don't
remember the specifics anymore, but homeowners often misuse them, when
referring to sinks, basins, faucets, etc.
Why would anyone change a light bulb anyway? I'd think you wait for it to
go dark.
