Sorry to be pedantic, but....

Minix was NOT the base that Linux used to develop Linux.

 Linus used to work on Minix (and I think that I have seen a patch or 2 in 
ameba). I am sure that everybody here knows the story.

Linus at best used Minix as a stepping stone for in the same way that 
minix used unix; simple apis.
There is no minix code in Linux. 

There is no Unix code either.
