Not sure if there is a specific clue irc channel/server, but there is
one we setup a long time ago for all the colorado linux groups:

irc.community.tummy.com port 6667
channel #colug

There is also a hacking society (http://hackingsociety.org) channel on
the same server that gets a fair bit of activity: #hackingsociety

Everyone is free to join and ask/answer linux questions.
