"The Ubuntu project last week announced that IBM has validated the
year-old Linux distribution's version 5.04 for use with its DB2
Universal Database, bringing together a database designed to automate
many time-consuming tasks with an operating system billed as
easy-to-install and even easier to use."

...
The IBM validation is a big step for Ubuntu, Debian Project Founder
Ian Murdock said. A lack of support for independent software vendors
(ISV) has been a historical weakness of Debian-based distributions,
but IBM's recognition of a Debian-based system is important to the
project's overall community.

Debugging is twice as hard as writing the code ... If you write
the code as cleverly as possible, you are, by definition, not
      smart enough to debug it.
