Sadly, I think his arguments would make
sense to the majority of small-computer
owners. 
Most people do not even know what Linux is.
A home furnace? Air conditioner?

I would not be surprised if some substantial
minority of people (15%) with some Windows 
trouble-shooting and technical skills would
also buy-in to his argument, at first.

Maybe I am not giving the average guy much
credit for technical knowledge and critical thinking.
