Not really - most of them do, but occasionally they don't work on one
OS or won't work on one CPU of one OS.  There's a web page color
picker that has this problem in particular.

My reasons:
JavaScript execution speed seems like a good reason to me.
The proven track record of fixing security holes quickly and having
relatively few to begin with.
The fact that if you have heterogeneous environment (the suits use
MSWindows, the Creatives use Mac, the developers/admins use Linux)
then it's just one browser to support.
