My apologies for the double posting -- clicked send a little too quickly
there. 

I found it very interesting to learn that Eric S. Raymond is a
self-described "gun nut" and has a number of interesting articles on the
subject at his website at http://www.catb.org/~esr/guns/ -- there are
some rather interesting parallels between the opensource movement and
the gun rights crowd.
