My girl friend is considering going into network
system administration because she feels her bachelor's
degree in agricultural engineering isn't very
marketable.  She keeps seeing openings on the job
boards for positions that pay double what she's
currently making, even at the entry level.   For those
who are in a position to hire sysadmins or those who
are sysadmins, what would be the quickest and least
time consuming way to get into the field?  A list of
specific schools, programs, resources, etc. would be
beneficial.
