I am looking at some university couse lectures and
other materials. The lectures are on Youtube, and
with with some trouble, trial and error I am watching
them, but I would like to download them to a file.

Or, on another site they have ".mp4" files available for
download; I assume they are the same lectures.
They also have ".rm"  files which may be the same stuff
or supplemental stuff.

My "Movie Player" would not play ".mp4" or ".rm".

Have any of you had success reading these files?

I have done some google-ing and looked at some different
utilities, but I am trying to decide where to concentrate my effort.
