Hi Everyone,
Win4Linux replaces the standard kernels (RedHat, Suse, etc) with
a Win$L kernel. Since I had built a custrom kernel, the Win4L
installation discovered that I did not have a standard kernel, so I
decided not to pursue the installation any further.
It seems that Win4L runs only Windows/95 and Windows/98
applications. Does it work with NT/2000 Server applications?
I don't know. I had already tested VMWare with NT (I did not have
a valid bootable CDROM for 95). VMWare also allows other
Linux/BSD distributions and NT, 2000 to execute simultaneously.
I don't know if Win4L does the Virtual Machine approach that
VMWare does.
Anyway if you decide you want to purchase: Win4L is $90 and
VMWare Hobbyist price is $99. Note that $99 Hobbyist price for
VMWare expires December 4 (TOMMORROW). The price then
increase to $299
