[clue-tech] Searchable web site

Hey Kev,

I use a free web-based service called Freefind.com to enable users that
search my web site http://www.JimIntriglia.com. I am satisfied with the
level of searches it performs, as well as the approach it uses to index the
target search site (it spiders the target site).

FreeFind also provides search reports so you know what visitors are
interested in when they search your site. Fairly easy to implement, as well.

As for searching back-end databases, I'll leave that one for someone else...

Question for you technical gurus.

If I'm building a web site, what different ways can I search the web
site and database and display the results? Can I search either the web
site or the database or both?

Thanks

Kevin
