Hey,

I've recently got Star Office 5.2 (which will be available to the LUG
shortly) and I've tried to install it. This is what the documentation
says:

*****************
Log in as normal using your user ID and run the "Setup" program. Select
an installation method and installation directory. You require write
access to the installation directory.

If you wish to run a network installation (multi-user installation),
start (as root) the setup with the option /net. After the network
installation has been completed, each StarOffice user needs to call up
the setup from the office directory of the network installation (WITHOUT
/net) under their user ID. They will then be able to install the
workstation installation. This will install about 2MB of data into the
corresponding Home directory of each user.

-----------------------------------------------------------
Migration from StarOffice 5.1 to StarOffice 5.2
-----------------------------------------------------------

If StarOffice 5.1 has been installed on your system, the setup
application of StarOffice 5.2 allows you to migrate from the old to the
new version.

-----------------------------------------------------------
Starting the Program
-----------------------------------------------------------

StarOffice 5.2 is started by running the "soffice" script. This script
is located in the installation directory, e.g. "/home/joe/Office52/".
******************

Here is what I get as root:

cullis:/cdrom/linux/office52 # ls se*
setup setup.ins
cullis:/cdrom/linux/office52 # ./setup
bash: ./setup: Permission denied
cullis:/cdrom/linux/office52 # setup
bash: setup: command not found
cullis:/cdrom/linux/office52 # ./setup.ins
bash: ./setup.ins: Permission denied
cullis:/cdrom/linux/office52 # ./setup -net
bash: ./setup: Permission denied
cullis:/cdrom/linux/office52 # ./setup -n
bash: ./setup: Permission denied
cullis:/cdrom/linux/office52 #

I've even tried to work it at Kevin, but to no avail.

Any suggestions?

Kevin
