The last time I tried to do a minimal SuSE install, it still wanted
nearly a gigabyte of disk space.  I was able to whittle that down a
a few hundred megabyte.  I'm sure a better job could be done in that
regard, but a "minimal" SuSE install was neither as easy or straight 
forward as I had expected.
