[CLUE-Tech] mounting an audio CD

I should have answered Matt's question in my original problem statement . .

My goal is to be able to copy an audio CD onto a blank CD-R.  I have a
CD-ROM and a CD-RW.  Preferably, I'd like to go straight from CD to CD, and
not CD to disk to CD.

Well, there have been several intelligent replies to this, but I
wonder if any of them get at the real issue. Do you have a particular
reason for wanting to mount your audio CDs (e.g., inspecting the
tracks or suchlike), or do you just want to play them?
