[CLUE-Tech] /dev/cdrom gone....?

let me guess......  it's a ide cd burner, right?  =]

had the same problem a while back.   ide cd burners use scsi emulation (the
"ide-scsi" module).  you should also be able to access it at /dev/hdc (or
wherever it's connected on the ide controller), but only as a reader.
