[CLUE-Tech] Linux on an @Home Cable Modem

I'm running into a few problems setting up a Linux box on a cable modem.

Besides configuring the internet-facing ethernet card for DHCP, setting
the hostname to the name supplied by @Home, and setting the domain to
"aurora1.co.home.com", what am I forgetting?

Is the hostname case-sensitive?

Some sources on the 'net talk about prefixing the hostname with an
additional "c", but this doesn't seem to do it.

I know this has been discussed before, but let's pretend I wasn't paying
attention.  :)
