[CLUE-Tech] high speed CD-RW

Lots of people (Verbatim, Memorex) sell CD RW media with
the speed range clearly stated as 4X to 10X,  When I look
at the parameters on the CD RW media itself (with gcombust),
the speed range is reported as low=4, high=8.  I can
burn it at 10X -- it works and verifies -- but should I go
above 8X?  What should I believe, the words on the box
or the codes on the media?
