[CLUE-Tech] Debian: gpm not installing by default

I realize this is not a debian list but,
this is the first disitro I've used in 5 years that didn't install gpm my
default !!
(Slackware,Correl,Turbo Linux, Susie and Redhat)

At the very least it needs to be a dependency for X install.

My solution was to use dpkg to install from the CD, as well as install my
vedeo drive (3D_Labs),
because debian didn't ask me what card I had?

And people B/M about Slack's install program !!


None the less I DO appreciate you reply.

p.s. In cased anyone missed the posting on LWN, Patrick has released
Slackware-8.1 beta...
(Who was that at the last meeting, the claimed it was did)
