Gigabyte GA-7DX+, also recommended at the above site, can be had at

for $35, including shipping ("refurb").

Looks like good recommendations for a linux box builder.  His preference for 5400 rpm hard drives over 7200 rpm ones reminds me of people telling me my old Yamaha stereo receiver is better than the new ones.  Evidence?
