Not to mention, having a machine just to run one or two apps
takes up a lot of extra space. It's a lot less annoying to be able
to just boot up VMware to run application X on the same machine
that you do the rest of your work on than it is to have to go
back and forth. With most apps, you can even cut and paste between
the virtual OS and the host OS.
