I ran brand new phone line wire into the house. The old stuff that was
originally in here died. I ran one line into the house. Then connected it
into a phone jack. Then ran a line from it direct to another jack (about a
10 foot wire run). Then connect my DSL modem (Cisco 675) right into that
jack (unfiltered). The DSL is supposed to have it's on filter. From the
first jack I put in I ran a short phone line to a single DSL filter and
another short phone line (about 6 inches) to another phone jack and all my
other lines in the house are split off from there. Thus filtering the whole
house for the DSL. See drawing below:
