I tried to restart Postgres -- the stop succeeded but the start failed! I determined the cause to be an open psql session. Strange that this would cause a problem ... In any event, does anyone know of a way to kill all postgres psql sessions with a single command, whoever might have them open? I'm using Postgres v. 7.2.1 on RedHat 7.1.
