Sounds like time for a new UPS.  Mine does not do that.  Neither my IBM 
nor my APC drops the voltage signifigantly.  A computer power suply 
might be able to compensate, but a monitor would freak out immediately. 
 When the output capabilities of the UPS drop below 108VAC, it turns 
off.  It gives me half an hour or so to power down.  It never has a 
voltage drop other than to 0 (off).
