My PC at work, for some reason, pipes all system speaker output and
literally blares it out my speakers.  I can't turn it down, either, so
when linux is running, I can't stop it (I don't run windows, either).
Working in Xemacs scares the crap out of me when I make a mistake, and
bothers people around me. Really.
