A lot of Linux users have been raving about OS-X...on the other hand, a
lot of long-time Mac users do not like the interface.

I personally haven't worked with OS-X. By the way, is it pronounced
"OS - TEN" or "OS - EX"??

I'm a long-time Mac user myself, but I think I'm not religious about
any OS or interface, as long as it does the job best.

There are advantages to sole-source, too. Installing Solaris on a
Sparc isn't much more difficult than installing MacOS on a Mac.
Administration is more involved, obviously, but everything pretty much
goes together smoothly.

They STILL are pretty expensive, however.
