SMB client stuff is all handled by the samba client utilities, probably
a separate package from the server stuff. Some of the utilities are
smbclient, smbmount, and smbprint. Once you have the package the man
pages should tell you how to do what you want.

You can set up a queue in CUPS to use SMB and then it should behave just
like any other printer you use. Looks easy if you're using foomatic,
don't know about others. I've been using CUPS for less than a day so I
don't quite grok all the pieces.

Probably CUPS is the way to go. There are examples in the printing
howto and print2win mini-howto of printing to windows through lpr.
